Deborah Armbrister

Deborah “Debi” Jo Armbrister, age 67, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, 22 February 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Church on Wednesday, 26 February 2020 with Marcus Casteel officiating. A 5:00 PM Memorial Service will be preceded by a visitation beginning at 3:00 PM.
Debi was born in Greensburg, Indiana to Rupert and Lythia Armbrister on 10 May 1952. She graduated from Jennings County High School, class of 1970. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude.
Debi was a member of Grace Church for almost twenty years and sang in the Grace Church Worship Choir. She also volunteered her time in the Grace Care Center at Grace Church. Debi enjoyed her mission work to Costa Rica and El Salvador because she loved helping those less fortunate both at home and abroad.
Debi had many personal interests including singing, photography, camping, canoeing, sewing, cooking, watching the Colts play and traveling. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Debi is preceded in death by her parents, Rupert and Lythia Armbrister.
Debi is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Nichole and Rob Barber, Andi and Scott Matney, and Danni and Randy Malcomb as well as seven grandchildren, Thad and Jalen Matney, Mary Jo and Alec Barber, and Lily, Jada, and Sam Malcomb.
