Dawn Marie Buckhorn

Dawn M. Buckhorn, 54, of Indianapolis, IN. passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was born on July 8, 1969.

She is survived by her mother Carolyn (Tony) Blomeke. Her son Brock (Brittany) Benge, daughter Brook Benge. Grandchildren Kendra and Brock Jr. Benge.  Sisters Tracey Lane and Trina (Barry) Hasty. Niece Arabella Shaker and Nephews Brian Wimmenauer Jr. and Dorian Hamon.

Dawn was a fun-loving free spirit. She loved to have a good time.  She loved being outside, gardening and she had a phenomenal green thumb. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved being with her family and friends. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother.  

Dawn worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers. She worked as a Heavy Machine Operator for over 20 years.  She was a member of Local Union 841 and 103.

She is perceived in death by her Father David Sandlin, Grandparents Lester and Junior B Sandlin, Claudia and Leander Cupp.
