David Whitman Sr.

David Wayne Whitman Sr., affectionately known as "Super Dave" passed away on July 24, 2024, at the age of 73. David was born on January 3, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late William and Laura Whitman.

Throughout his life, David enjoyed working with his hands. He was a jack of all trades who could fix anything. He was also the co-owner of Indy Dyno, a dynamometer repair business in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He loved spending time with his family in both Indianapolis and Kentucky. He also loved traveling and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. His prized possession was his motorcycle, a 2001 Honda Goldwing, which he loved dearly. David and his sons went on many motorcycle trips in Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia. He enjoyed adventures, such as camping (when he was younger) and boating. In his youth, David raced at the Indianapolis Speedrome, where he later took his family often.

David was a social butterfly that could bring a smile to anyone's face. He made friends wherever he went and never met a stranger.

David is survived by his wife, Marlene; three children, David Whitman Jr., Jennifer Devine, and Jason Whitman; 4 stepchildren; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
