David was born November 14th, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, but lived most of his life in Indianapolis. David served in U.S. Army 101st Airborne and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. David graduated from Emmerich Manual High School. He worked mostly at construction and handyman work. He was an artist, loved to paint, and carve images in wood.
David leaves behind his children, Anji (Jason) Audley of South Carolina, Misty (Patrick) Jacobs of Indiana, Jeremy (Melanie) Lewis of Indiana, as well as 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by his father, Wilbur Lewis, his brothers, Raymond (Rita) Lewis and Robert (Angie) Lewis, and his sisters, Brenda (Greg) Bauer, Joanne (David) Endsley, and Linda Fisher. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and devoted friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Ashman (Lewis), his brother, John Lewis, and his nephew John K. Lewis.
There will be a private family service.
