David Lee McCallister

David Lee McCallister, 79, of Pendleton IN, passed away on August 11, 2021. He was born on August 20, 1941 in Boonville Indiana to the late Burless And Ethel (Evans) McCallister.

He graduated from Boonville High School on May 28, 1959. He served in the US Army for 3 years and then went on to work for wonder bread where he later retired after 30 years. He played baseball for many years and got great enjoyment from it. He loved his family with his whole heart and would do anything to help anyone. He had 3 children Tina Baker, Rodney McCallister, Rebecca Addison and one step child Candice Hicks.

He is survived by 2 children a son Rodney McCallister of Indianapolis IN and a daughter Rebecca (Michael) Addison of Carthage IN . 2 Siblings a brother Gene (Barbra) McCallister of Spencer IN a sister Ruth (Fred) Dike of Owensville IN. 8 grandchildren and 11 great children.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Burless and Ethel McCallister, 2 siblings a brother Don McCallister and a sister Retta Darlene Mcburnie (McCallister), 2 daughters Tina Baker and Candice Hicks, 2 grandsons William Ayers and Silas Jackson and 1 great grandson Everett Hagan.

Visitation will be Monday August 16, 2021 from 11am - 1pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 E. Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. Funeral Service to follow at 1pm.
