David Lee Flynn, 37, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away at Seton Specialty Hospital with his loving wife by his side on Thursday, April 13th, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occurred on August 27th, 2022.
David was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 12th, 1985 to Ronald (Ron) and Virginia (Jenny) Flynn. David grew up in Lawrence along with his sister and two brothers. As a child, David enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball. He was a skilled trumpeter during his school years and always had a great love for the outdoors.
David attended Lawrence Central High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Rebecca (Becca) Henning. They were married at Valle Vista Golf Club in Greenwood, Indiana on June 29th, 2008. David and Becca were blessed with three children; David Jr. (DJ), Derika, and Lainey. David was a Journeyman Carpenter with the Carpenters Local Union 301 and a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
David was a hardworking man, always striving to provide for his family. In addition to his work and family, David had a passion for hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. He loved spending time in nature, and it was during these moments that he felt most at peace. David was a skilled hunter and fisherman, and he loved nothing more than sharing his knowledge with others. Most weekends, you could find him on the golf course with his father or spending quality time with his wife and children.
David will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends will never be forgotten. He is survived by his devoted wife Becca and their three children, DJ, Derika, and Lainey, as well as his parents, Ron and Jenny Flynn, brother Kenneth (Gwendolyn) Flynn, sister Rachael (Alexander) Jones, brother Nathan (Miranda) Flynn, father and mother in-law; John Sr. and Dolores Monroe, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Frederick and Barbara Karl; maternal grandparents; Thomas Sr. and Patricia Dyer; uncle, Thomas Dyer Jr.; uncle, David Dyer.
