Darlene Teresa Mezzetta, a daughter of God, age 74, fell asleep on November 28th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Darlene was born in Denver, CO on November 19, 1945, and is preceded in death by her late parents Emma Frizzell and John Montano, her grandmother Rose Salazar, and step father Carl Frizzell.
Beloved wife to Remo Mezzetta for 40 years. Devoted mother to Luciano (Christina) and Anthony (Laura) Mezzetta, and stepmother to Nathan Mezzetta. Cherished grandmother to Toni, Ava, Xavier, Zoe, and Luca Mezzetta. Dear sister to Sharon (Manny) Yturralde, Katherine Garcia, Sylvia (Jim) Wells, Neoma Montano, John (Lydia) Montano, and Greg (Elvia) Gomez. She is also remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Darlene was and is a dedicated and devoted member of the body of Christ. She treasured her children, and especially loved her role as grandma. She cherished every moment spent with both her boys, grandchildren and last but not least, her husband. She loved her family with a passion that cannot be described with words, and in her favorite saying, she was always “blessed and highly favored" by God. Darlene worshiped and celebrated God’s Word with the Indiana Bible Fellowship and lived her life as a true follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. She never met a stranger and spoke the word to everyone she came in contact with. She gave generously to others, and her life was a living example of Jesus's words in Acts 20:35 “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Darlene received her associate’s degree in Theology/Theological Studies at The Way College of Biblical Research. After raising her children, she became the president and CEO of Mezzetta Construction, Inc. As the largest Latina woman owned construction company in the Indianapolis area, Darlene worked on several large projects, and touched the lives of many in that community.
Her family and friends will miss her greatly, but know, that her next conscious thought will be seeing the Lord face to face in all his glory at the gathering.
