Daniel A. Nickolich
55, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away, Monday, August 17, 2020. Daniel was born on July 29, 1965. He grew up in the Indianapolis area, where he attended Cathedral High School. After receiving his BA from Tufts University and an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, Daniel relocated to New York City, eventually settling in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Daniel was a Chartered Financial Analyst and long-time employee of UBS Securities.
Daniel is survived by his brothers, David (Karen) Nickolich and Edward (Ruth) Nickolich; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer (James Daniel) Reskevich, Michael (Sara) Nickolich, Elizabeth (Joshua) Gottschalk, Kirk Alford, and Alan (Elizabeth) Alford; great nephews and nieces, Aidan and Caelan Alford, Harper and Anthony Reskevich, and Zoey Nickolich, and a great many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Marie Nickolich and his long-time partner, Robert McCue.
Daniel's many interests included caring for his beloved cats, travel, music, reading, art and design, and volunteering at City Critters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020, in the chapel at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN 46037. Masks are required. Visitation will be held between 5:30 and 6:30 PM, with a funeral mass immediately afterwards. A celebration of Daniel's life in Brooklyn, NY will be held at a later date (Spring 2021).
