Dale Thomas Gill, Sr, 86 of Indianapolis died peacefully in his home on July 19, 2020. He was born on September 30, 1933 in Earlington, KY to Oscar Thomas Gill (Deceased) and Alice Eugenia Gill (Deceased).
Dale graduated from J. W. Million High School in Earlington, KY, and Kentucky State University. He also attended the University of Nevada for a short time.
Dale enlisted in the Air Force and served in France and Saudi Arabia before returning to the United States. He was employed by Ford Motor Co in Indianapolis for 45 years before retiring in 2004.
Dale aka Bubba is an honorable Kentucky Colonel. He loved basketball and football and was a very good tennis player. He also played golf when time permitted. He liked BBQ and would brag about his grilling skills.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Genevieve Douglas-Gill; his children Christopher (Debbie), Rodney (Reeta), Dale, Jr., Isaac, and Margaret; Siblings Norma Gill, Faye Yates (Bill), and Jimmie Gill; nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins. Older sister Marion Gill preceded him in death.
