Cynthia Hillard

Cynthia "Cindy" Hillard, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 29th, 2023. She was born to Billy Kehrt and Marilyn Bayne on June 8th, 1951.

Cindy will be remembered for her beautiful smile and compassion towards everyone she met.  She loved her large family and was always willing to help anyone in need if she could.  She was a forgiving person no matter what the person had done, she would still be there for them and stick up for them.  She was an amazing protector of her children and grandchildren.  Cindy went out of her way to make everyone feel special and her love was felt by everyone she came in contact.  She would take anyone in that needed a home.  She always put others needs before her own and never asked for anything in return.   

She will be greatly missed, as she was the matriarch of the family and a great friend to many. 

Cindy was widowed by her husband, Andrew Hillard. 

She had 4 siblings; Steven Kehrt (deceased), Julie Blythe, Kathy Chance, and Gary Kehrt. She was an amazing mother with 3 daughters; Michelle Yosha, Sharon Albright (Trevor Albright-son in law), and Kimberly Greene. She also had 4 step children; Lisa Hayslett, Andrea Treon (Brant Treon-son in law), Eric Hillard, and Todd Hillard. She had 17 grandchildren with 2 grandsons that she raised from birth (Shawn Jackson & Jonathon Peelman). She also had 16 great-grandchildren and was the beloved aunt to 19 nieces and nephews. Finally, she had 2 grand puppies she loved that gave her so much joy. Cindy has touched many peoples lives. She had many friends that she loved and cared for in her Brookhaven apartments community. She valued their friendship and the family is grateful for their compassion and love for her. 

There will be a visitation and funeral service on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel from 8:00am to 10:00am, with the funeral service to follow at 10:00am. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn.
