Curtis L. Woodward, 79, of Corbin, KY, formerly, Noblesville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. He was born on September 7, 1940 to Carroll and Helen Woodward in Anderson, IN.
Curtis graduated from Noblesville High School in 1959. Upon graduation, Curtis enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country as a Navy Seabee. After his service in the US military, Curtis began his career with Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville, IN. He would later transfer to Firestone’s Williamsburg, KY facility, as an assistant plant manager, and retired after 39 years of dedicated service.
Curtis married his wife Judy A. Woodward (Ramey) on August 18, 1967, and made their home in Noblesville, IN where they would raise their family.
“Woody” as he was know to his friends, was an avid gardener and woodworker. His artistic abilities were also appreciated by fellow coworkers, were he would often create memory posters for retiring employees at Firestone, or build magnificent martin bird houses for them.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Judy A. Woodward; sons, Larry D. Ramey, Jr. of Simi Valley, CA; Steven J. Ramey (Amy) of Noblesville, IN; sister, Mary M. Berry of Sheridan, IN; grandsons, Larry D. Ramey III, Dylan R. Ramey, Austin P. Ramey, and Jackson T. Ramey; and niece and nephews, Susan, Greg, and Kevin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Norman Woodward, Bruce Woodward, and James Woodward.
