Cody Rex Highfield

Cody Rex Highfield, 38, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on December 4, 1985, in Arlington, TX, to Harry Rex Highfield and Amber (Miller) Ashmore.  After completing his education, Cody worked for much of his life as a carpenter. He loved the work he did. 

Along with carpentry, Cody also had many joys in life. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, as well as camping, and taking trips to Yellowwood State Park whenever he could. However, Cody’s greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family, especially his sons, who will miss him very much. 

Cody is survived by his sons, Cody and Grant Highfield; his mother, Amber Ashmore; as well as his grandmother, Bette Miller, of Fairview, UT.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Rex Highfield. 

Friends and family are welcome to gather in celebration of Cody’s life on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250.
