Clare Mulhern Kay

Clare Mulhern Kay, 63, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2019. Clare attended Arlington High School, Class of 1974. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Indiana University. Clare later completed her Master’s degree in Education.

Clare spent most of her adult life in Long Beach, California, where she had a successful career with Aerojet and Seagate. Clare then went on to teach junior high math in the Los Angeles area.

Clare will be remembered for her kind heart, spontaneous nature, and truly living life to its fullest. She lit up any room with her joyful spirit. She will be so dearly missed.

Clare was preceded in death by her father, John Mulhern; sister, Maureen Crawford; and brother, Brian Mulhern. Clare is survived by her mother and step-father, Rosemary and Joseph Valvo, sisters Kathleen Ray and Rosemary (Mario) Mifsud and many nieces and nephews. Clare also leaves behind her beloved dog, Doogie.

Please join us to celebrate her life on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. A memorial mass will be said in Clare’s honor on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 6950 E. 46th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46226.
