Christopher Lee Kirby

Christopher Lee Kirby, 51, passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2023. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

Chris is survived by his wife of 30 years Carrie, and children Patrick, Allie, Emma, and Ian, his mother Jackie Fulton, twin sister Traci (Bill) Feltman, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father John and brother Jeremy.

Chris was born in Indianapolis on September 30, 1971. He graduated from Lawrence Central in 1989. As Branch Manager, Chris’s knowledge, leadership, and personality built the ChemGroup Indianapolis branch into the successful endeavor it is today. He and his family were proud of his dedication and success. Chris was passionate about his career and cherished the connections and friendships he made in his industry.

Chris’s greatest joy came from his four children. He loved them dearly. He was proud of them and loved sharing stories highlighting their kindness and sense of humor.

Chris knew someone everywhere he went. He was easy to talk to, generous with his time and talents, and was always willing to help someone who needed a hand. He loved dining out with family, friends, and clients who became friends. He loved a good joke, and he loved to rib the people he loved most. He loved grilling and was famous for perfecting the “Kirby Burger.” He was handy and creative. He loved animals and couldn’t help himself from adopting as many as he could. He had a booming voice, a generous heart, and an unmatched collection of tie-dye and Slippery Noodle t-shirts. Chris was loved by all and will be profoundly missed. He would want his memory to be honored with laughter and happy stories.
