Charles Eugene Jewell

Charles Eugene Jewell, 63, of Whiteland, Indiana passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024,

He was born Friday, March 18, 1960, to the late Eldon Denton Jewell and Hilda Ruth (Barclay) Wilhite in Franklin, Indiana.

Gene was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved watching the Steelers and fishing was a big passion of his. He drove a semi for 18 years and loved being over the road. He also did siding installation with his best friend, Monty Anderson, for many years. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and siblings. Ultimately Gene loved being with his family.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Hilda; sisters, Becky, Cheryl Ann; and brother, Eddie.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ginger Jewell; sons, Charles Eugene Jewell Jr. (Megan), Zachary Joseph Jewell (Ashley), Dalton Jewell (Kim), James Jewell (Delaney), Jacob Jewell; daughter, Alexandria Terhune; stepsons, Terry Richards, Jamie Richards; sisters, Ann Hyatt, Pam Ramsey; brother, Sonny Wilhite (Sherrie); brother, Glen Wilhite Jr. (Erin); 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation is Thursday, March 7, 2024, 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. There will be another visitation on Friday, March 8, 2024, 11:00 am until noon.

Funeral service will begin at noon.

Burial to immediately follow at Young’s Creek Cemetery, Franklin, Indiana.
