Charlene Main Rider died on November 21, 2020 at 8:34 in the morning, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Lt. Colonel Charles Main and his wife Marjorie, she was born February 25, 1948 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She grew up all around the world.
She met her husband, Dan Rider, while preparing for the mission field at Prairie Bible Institute in Canada. They were married August 13, 1977. Dan and Charlene made their mission field of Japan their home for nearly 20 years; they were sorely missed when they returned to the United States in 2003. Charlene and Dan became members of Southside Reformed Presbyterian Church at 6969 South Meridian St. in Indianapolis, Indiana. They have been active and beloved members there for many years.
Charlene is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dan, and by her mother Marjorie Main. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, or to the Mercy Fund of their church.
