Catherine “Ann” Manak born in Lebanon, IN on December 30, 1949, to Leo and Hortense Richman. Ann passed away on June 8, 2022, in Indianapolis IN.
Ann graduated from Lebanon High School in 1968 and attended Ball State University graduating in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and furthered her education with a master’s degree.
Ann was a lifelong educator in both life and profession, teaching kindergarten and special needs for 37 years the majority of which in Lebanon, IN. Ann was a member of Psi Iota Xi and Tri Kappa.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and educating all along the way, specifically dear to her were reading, hosting parties with her husband and rooting on all forms of sports but mostly her beloved Boilermakers. Ann enjoyed anything at the pool or lake especially summers on Dogtooth Lake Canada, Potato Lake, and later in life Magician Lake and the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Ann is survived by her husband of 19 years James Manak of Indianapolis, son John S. Cunningham (Kristy Speedy) of Indianapolis, “daughter” Whitney Sullender (Jason) of Marrietta GA, brother John Richman (Marcia) Fargo, ND, and a niece and nephew and six great nieces.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lebanon Educational Foundation Giving: Lebanon Educational Foundation, Lebanon, Indiana, USA (lebanonlef.org)
