Carol Sue Shearin (Hughes)

Carol Sue Shearin, age 69, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on September 29, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Austin B. and Geraldine (Jerri) G. Hughes.

Carol was a graduate of North Central High School.  She eventually began working for the State of Indiana, as an Employment Specialist for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. She dedicated 20 years of service to her role before retiring.

In her free time, Carol enjoyed reading, crocheting, baking, and sewing. She had a passion for travel and cherished her trip to Hawaii, often expressing her desire to visit again someday.

Carol will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, Jennifer D. Shearin, and cherished granddaughter, Chloe Rose Hoskins, both of Noblesville, Indiana. She is also survived by her brother, Michael A. Hughes (Sasha) of Lebanon, Ohio.

A memorial service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, located at 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250, on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Carol's memory to the American Heart Association.
