Carolyn Sue Henderson

Carolyn Henderson, passed away peacefully October 12, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born June 6th, 1938, in Mitchell Indiana.

Carolyn is survived by her children Deborah Henderson, Mike Henderson, Gary Henderson Jr. and Cheyenne Plummer. Her grandchildren Tiffany Henderson, Casey Henderson, Bryant Henderson, Stephen Henderson, Austin Marc Church, Gary Henderson III, and Heather Nicole. Along with 17 Great-Grandchildren.

Carolyn graduated from Mitchell High-school Class of 1956. Shortly after graduation she married Gary Dean Henderson Sr. and started her career journey at the beauty college. She worked as a dedicated beautician for almost 40 years while also being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She served on the Board of Directors at Harvard Square for several years and enjoyed actively participating in local community events. Throughout those years she experienced so much joy traveling with her fellow board members from Kirkpatrick Management Company. She loved to crochet, to cook, to do crossword puzzles, and making her home-made fudge around the holidays. Most of all she enjoyed spending her time being surrounded by family.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Mary Ditton. Her siblings Betty George, Helen Lauren, Howard Ditton, Wilma Irene Ditton, George Ditton, Mary Bowden, Jim Ditton, John Ditton, and Richard Ditton. Her lifelong friend Harlan Eugene Smith. Along with her Granddaughter Britteny Henderson.

Friends may visit with the family for a celebration of life between 11 a.m and 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 17th, 2024, at the Harvard Square Clubhouse - 8262 Mcfarland Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227
