Carole A Blankenship

Carole A. Blankenship, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away with family by her side on October 4, 2024. She was born December 19, 1943 to Loren and Ida Shimer.

Carole worked for JP Morgan Chase, retiring after 37 years. She then worked for United Airlines for 11 years. Her last job was with Indiana Funeral Care, where she kept everyone in line and on task.

Carole is survived by her children, Dennis Sr. and Chris Nelson; her grandsons, Dennis Jr. (Rebecca), Donald (Karisa), Dakota (Emily) and Dillon (Betsy); her great grandchildren, Rosalie, Daisy, Dashel, Kaislee, Daxton, Amelia, and Scarlett; her brother, Harry ‘Butch’ Shimer; nieces and nephews, Jayne Ann, Kelly, Linda, Jay , Alicia ‘Wink’, Cindy and Bobby; and many other family member and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Ida; siblings, Joseph Shimer, Mary Jane Myers, and Boby Shimer; and her niece, Patty Myers-Cerulli.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time.
