Carol Susanne Mullen, 84, died May 28, 2023. She was born November 26, 1938 Indianapolis, Indiana to Roland and Katherine Yeagley.
Carol, a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1954. She married Rollin Gary Mullen July 19, 1958. Together they raised five daughters; Debi Delaney, Diana Chen, Denise Kimmel, Donna Kirby and Dena Sanders. She considered herself a homemaker, but her career was teaching the Bible. She absolutely loved reading her Bible. Her first priority was to teach her daughters love of the Bible and efforts to get all five girls to the meetings three times a week showed great appreciation. She also spent time each week in the ministry, searching for people who wanted to learn the hope taught in the Bible.
In her 30's she opened her home for a group Bible study held every week for many years. In her 40's, she worked with remodeling and building new kingdom halls. In her 50's she began to learn Chinese to help in teaching the Bible in the Chinese language. She believed wholeheartedly in the hope the Bible promises at Revelation 21:3,4 - "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Her hope was so strong that she told her girls one day she would ride on an elephant and play with Tigers in paradise. Her family looks forward to welcoming her back to that beautiful paradise.
She was an excellent cook. All the girls remember her pot roast, chili, meatloaf, spaghetti night and grilled cheese sandwiches every Sunday afternoon.
Besides husband and daughters she is survived by Nine grand-children; Bryan Youngquist, Kyle Youngquist, Allyson Youngquist, Bradley Youngquist, Emily Chen, Rachel Kimmel, Alexander Kirby, Samuel Kirby, Andrew Kirby. Four great grandchildren; Dylan Youngquist and Jonah Youngquist; Alex C Kirby and Owen Kirby.
