Brian Lee Haney (48) died after a short battle with pancreatic cancer on October 9, 2022 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Raised in Greenwood, IN, Brian graduated from Center Grove High School and Purdue University.
Brian worked for CSX Railroad for 25 years as a train dispatcher and was a member of the ATDA.
Brian is survived by his wife, Andrea (Sawyer) Lott Haney and daughter Hannah Rose Cross (Ryan Ward). He also leaves behind his parents, John and Linda Morris, sister, Andrea Wheeler (Daniel Wheeler), Stepsister Cheryl Morris (Mitch Duval), and cherished sibkids Eden Wheeler, Jesse Morris, Jordan Sawyer, and Jenna Sawyer. Brian’s inlaws, Steven and Shirley Sawyer, and Jason (Whitney) Sawyer, together with many chosen family members also grieve his loss.
Brian was preceded in death by his father John David Haney, his brother John Harrison Haney, and his stepsister Leanne (Morris) Cirrincione.
Brian’s hobbies and interests included travel to Jamaica, games, fine dining, inappropriate humor, and performing acts of kindness. He loved the family dogs, Scout and Sophie, and entertaining friends and family at home. His generous, brave, and loyal spirit will be missed. We will never see his like again.
A memorial of Brian's life will take place on Sunday, October 23 at Indiana Funeral Care in Greenwood. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm, with a funeral service performed by Rev. Michael Everett Davis of Unity Indianapolis Church at 5:00 pm.
