Brenda Lea Paz

Brenda Lea Paz (Higgins) 68 of Indianapolis, IN. Lost her battle with uterine cancer and peacefully passed at her residence, surrounded by her Daughter and Granddaughters on Saturday March 6th 2021.

Brenda was born in Indianapolis, IN. on July 09, 1952. She was a graduate of North Central high school. Brenda married Luis A. Paz on Saturday April 20th, 1985. Brenda worked at the Indianapolis Marriott North for over two decades.

Brenda was an amazing woman that had so much love to give. She would walk into a room and light it up!!! She didn’t know a stranger and was young at heart. FOREVER 21! Brenda was an avid dog lover, loved reading books and watching old movies . But mostly, enjoyed spending time with family and especially spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Olivia Paolillo (Chad Elling), her loving granddaughters Kelsey A. Williams, Kylie N. Williams, and Kendle A. Williams, grandson Matthew Jaxson Elling , and her brother Robert (Bobby) Higgins Jr.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Luis A. Paz, Mother Audrey A. Higgins(Iams) and her Father Robert E. Higgins Sr.

You had an amazing life with amazing family by your side
You fed the hogs and walked the dogs
You took wonderful care of all with your great big heart 'till death pulled us apart
Those animals were always by your side but sometimes would not abide
You left behind so many wonderful memories for all of us with a lot of kick from the Rocky Mountains to French Lick
So strongly take your stand when you climb your mountain
Or stop by the Flowing Well water fountain
Get the flame as it burns
Get the wind as it slowly turns
Get the earth as it circles by
Get the sky, see God's creations fly by
The seeds of life erase the strife
Like voices in the wind, I hear voices, I see faces
Reminds me of all the happy places
I want to sparkle, I want to shine
Through the ageless endless realm of time
Brenda, your amazing journey will carry on
Through the seasons of the sun
So saddle up and hit the trail
Saddle up like Roy and Dale

In lieu of a funeral: Brenda wished to have a celebration of life party/ living funeral; Where she was surrounded by many ( but not all ) of her friends and family.


Brenda was part of the Glendale congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There will be a Zoom memorial Service on Saturday , March 20 at 5 pm. (Link will be updated at a later time)
