Brenda Jo Long

Brenda Jo Long, 68, of Sheridan, IN, passed away on February 13, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 31, 1952. to Sarah J. and Samuel E. Dyer. She graduated from North Central High School in 1970 and ITT Technical Institute 1986.

Brenda is survived by her son Michael Joseph Duckett and her grandson Michael James Duckett and her siblings Gary L. Dyer/Sandra, Cynthia A. Smith/ John, Sammy D. Dyer, Shirley A. Hibbard/ Ray, Denise R. Amos / Jay , David A. Dyer, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents Sarah J. and Samuel E. Dyer

Our sister was a loving mother and grandmother and the best big sister and aunt. She had a heart of gold and definitely earned her angel wings. She was super silly. She enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, playing cards, shooting pool, watching wrestling on TV, Watching Nascar and Indy Car and she was a huge Colts fan. Bren would help anyone if they needed it and did so regularly. She was all about family. She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Funeral service immediately following at 1:30 PM. She will be laid to rest at Union Chapel Cemetery.

Participation for visitation and service will be limited due to Covid restrictions.
