Brenda Dorsey

Brenda J. (McGuire) Dorsey, 68, passed away on December 9, 2023 in Noblesville, Indiana. She was born in Noblesville on April 24, 1955 to Jerry McGuire and Alice (Gerber) Alsup.

She grew up in Noblesville and was married to Kenneth L. Dorsey from December 2, 1972, until February 1981. She was later married to Jim Butts from November 22, 1989 until 1993. She worked several jobs over the years, including Pizza Hut, Metro Molding, and Goodwill. She also delivered newspapers for The Indianapolis Star / News throughout a majority of Hamilton County. Wherever she went, she was fortunate to meet many people who loved her. She enjoyed doing impossible puzzles of all types and she loved horses and dogs. Many people will remember her for baking delicious lemon orange cake, around-the-world cake, and Dutch apple pies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Alice; her stepfather (Dad), Richard Alsup; twin grandsons, Bryce and Kyle Dorsey; her nephew, Steven McGuire; and her brother-in-law, Larry Junken. She is survived by her sisters, Kathy Junken and Karen (C.D.) Smith; brothers Bob (Elaine) McGuire and Mike (Nancy) McGuire; sons Dennis (Tom) Dorsey and Greg (Beth Ann) Dorsey; grandchildren Grayce, Bryahna, and Wayde; one great granddaughter; two cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

Per Brenda’s wishes, there will be no funeral services and her remains will be cremated. Please feel free to leave a fond memory or a message of condolence for her family.
