Brandon Robert Russell, 27, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Greenfield, Indiana. Born on April 23, 1997, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Brandon was a loving husband and cat dad, dedicated student, a devoted member of his community, and a passionate advocate for technology and personal security.
Brandon completed his high school education at the Dayton Job Corps Center in Dayton, Ohio and was halfway through his studies in Cyber Security at Western Governors University. His love for computers and information technology was evident in both his academic pursuits and personal interests. He had a deep fascination with anything related to technology, always eager to expand his knowledge and skills in these fields.
Brandon was a dedicated employee and coworker at his various jobs throughout the years. He enjoyed being an associate for PetSmart, a warehouse worker for Aldi and NAPA, a copier repair technician for Toshiba, and working in IT specializing in Public Safety for Hancock County Indiana. Many of his coworkers considered him a great friend who was always willing to jump in and help whenever needed.
Beyond his academic and professional aspirations, Brandon found joy in serving at his local church. His faith in Jesus Christ played a significant role in his life, and he was an active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was not shy in letting those around him know. Whether through acts of service or fellowship, he dedicated himself to helping those around him. One of his favorite ministries was serving in whatever capacity was needed at various Ladies of Light events. He also was an active member of the Family Foundations Sunday school class.
Brandon was a loving and caring spouse to his wife, Christine Russell, whom he met at a concert at the Marion County Fair in June 2021. Their love blossomed quickly, and they were engaged in October 2021, and married on April 8, 2022. Brandon loved chauffeuring his wife around, enjoyed their many ice cream dates, and was often teased for carrying his wife’s purse for her. He was also a dedicated and caring cat dad to the four cats he shared with his wife – Oreo, Hot Sauce, Marmalade, and Red.
Brandon also had a love for animals, bowling, watching YouTube videos on his favorite subjects, and public safety in Hancock County. No matter where he went there was not an animal he did not introduce himself to especially dogs. These hobbies brought him both relaxation and camaraderie with friends and coworkers who shared his interests.
He is survived by his father, William Russell, his sister, Samantha Russell, and his wife, Christine Russell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Russell (December 2020) and child, Blueberry Russell (March 2023).
