Bonnie Hinson

Bonnie Lou (Risher) Hinson, 91, of Marion, TX passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023, in Mooresville, IN. She was born on June 21, 1932, in Indianapolis, IN, to Harlan and Beulah Risher.

Bonnie was a devoted mother and founding member, alongside her dear husband, of Open Door Baptist Church. She played a pivotal role in its establishment and growth, dedicating her time and efforts to sharing her faith and bringing joy and love into the lives of those around her. Bonnie's unwavering faith and commitment to her church community made her an inspiration to others. Their dedication and hard work contributed to the growth and success of the church, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.

Bonnie married Roy Hinson in 1951, and they shared a beautiful life together until his passing in 2013. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to the power of love.

Bonnie is survived by her loving son, Ronnie (Vickie) Hinson, and her devoted daughters, Karen Sponseller, Debra (Herb) Muncy, and Brenda Stanley. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Bret (Dana) Hinson, Shawna (Chris) Wilford, Katie (Cameron) Ward, Jeremy (Jill) Muncy, Megan (John-Mark) Young, Jen (Adam) Carmichael, and Kristina (Dustin) Criswell. Additionally, Bonnie leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and happiness.

Funeral services for Bonnie Lou (Risher) Hinson will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Indiana Funeral Care in Greenwood, IN. Visitation will take place from 4-6pm, followed by a service to celebrate Bonnie's life. After the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband in Texas.
