Bobby "Joe" Fairbairn

Bobby “Joe” Fairbairn, 60, Indianapolis, passed away on July 13, 2024, at his home in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on November 29, 1963, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Dennis Fairbairn and LaDonna (Goyne) Fairbairn. After completing his education, Joe enjoyed working a variety of jobs, later working for Flanner and Buchanan cemetery in grounds keeping. Joe met his partner, Janet Sherlock, in 1989 and together they spent over 34 years by each other’s sides, overcoming whatever obstacles came their way.

Joe was a loving partner, brother, and friend to many, who had many joys in life. He loved working on cars and maintaining the vehicles at home. He also enjoyed staying busy, and never knew a stranger no matter where he went. His greatest joy in life, however, was the time he spent with family, who will all miss him very much. 

Joe is survived by his partner, Janet Sherlock; daughter, Kristina Fairbairn; two sons; Sean Fairbairn and Billy Fairbairn; brother, Kelly Fairbairn; step-mother in Michigan, Cheryl Crews; half brothers, Chucky Fairbairn and Denny Fairbairn; and half sister, Sherry Fairbairn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and LaDonna Fairbairn.
