Betty Lou Coffman, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away May 9th, 2020. She was born May 8th, 1926 in Greensburg, Indiana to Everett and Mamie (Dilks) Hamilton. Betty worked at Stokely-Van Camp for a short time and was mainly a homemaker. She lived with two of her sisters, Elsie & Katherine, for many years. Betty’s sense of humor was awe-inspiring and she did not take many things too seriously. She enjoyed visits from family, and playing Gin Rummy or Bingo. She also had an abundance of love for animals, taking in stray dogs and feeding the squirrels and rabbits that would come through her backyard.
Betty is survived by her sister, Pauline Clouse; children, Steve Coffman, Garry (Iris) Coffman; grandchildren, Benny Coffman, Clifford (Lori) Coffman, Chuck (April) Lee, Lisa (Patrick) Guynn, Stephanie (Joshua) Richards, Jessica (Francisco) Maldonado; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Katherine Louise Hamilton & Elsie Mae Hamilton.
Services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation Monday, May 18th 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral service will start at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 19th followed with burial at West Newton Cemetery.
