Betty Lynn Lauterbach

Betty Lynn Lauterbach, 76, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Betty was born on November 12, 1946 in Albion, MI to John and Alyce Swan. Betty had gifted lips of witness to her love for Jesus, as well as gifted hands especially in the sewing arts of needlepoint and crocheting. Thus, she began “Divine Designs,” a company designing custom religious needlepoint: altar paraments, banners, chair and kneeling cushions.

Betty’s husband, Rev. W. E. “Gene” Lauterbach, preceded her in death on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Surviving are beloved and cherished sister-in-law, Carol Brandt; cousin, Carol (Lynn) Gildea; children, Brett (Terri) Beilfuss, Christine (Doug) Jones, Bethany (James) McArther, Bill (Ula) Lauterbach, Lynda Hunter and Kristi (Ed) Fitts; sixteen grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Calvary Lutheran Church, 6111 S. Shelby Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227, will hold a service of thanksgiving for Betty’s life themed “Awaiting Resurrection Day” on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 1:00pm, with visitation from 11:00am – 1:00pm.
Memorial tributes may be made to “Worship Anew,” Emmaus Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, and Calvary Lutheran Church and School.
