Beth Ann Cheney

Beth Ann (Stohler) Cheney, age 73, of Upland, Indiana passed away in her home on April 6, 2023.  She entered this life on March 10, 1950 in Anderson, Indiana.  She was the loving daughter of the late Reverend Artie Everett Stohler and late Mary Elizabeth (Roney) Stohler.  Beth was a graduate of Pendleton High School and a licensed beautician.  She also attended Ball State University studying art.   Beth worked in various manufacturing jobs to include several General Motors plants in Indiana.  On November 28, 1986 Beth was united in marriage to the late John David Cheney.  Beth enjoyed taking care of various animals, including her beloved horses, goats, dogs, and cats.  She was an avid reader and supported many children organizations such as Special Olympics and St. Jude’s.

Beth grew up in a large family surrounded by brothers and sisters in a farmhouse in Pendleton, Indiana. She will be missed by her loving sisters Annabel (Stohler) Wilson and Rosemary (Stohler) Attaway and Royce Attaway (brother-in-law), and loving brothers Don Stohler and Kenneth Stohler along with several nieces, nephews, a step-daughter Sharon Dwyer, and two step-granddaughters. She will also be missed by her longtime friend Brenda Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; step-brothers Hardy Stohler, Ralph Stohler, and Francis Stohler; sisters Lois E. (Stohler) Pickett and Theresa F. (Stohler) Jones; and brother Doyle E. Stohler.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
