Bernice Henry, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, June 10th, 2022. She was born to Walter and Pauline McMorris in Vance, Mississippi on April 29th, 1947.
She met Clyde in June, 1984 at Fort Harrison, Indiana. In December of 1984, they we happily married and then they both moved to Hawaii after Clyde was stationed there. They lived there for fours years before moving to Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1989. They lived there until Clyde retired in August, 1995 and they moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Bernice worked as a CNA in multiple nursing homes around Marion County. In April, 1998, she became the first graduate of the Second Helpings Course and worked with them for a year. She had a long-term battle with cancer before passing away peacefully at home.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde R. Henry; her sister, Erma Jean Ducasse of St. Louis, MO., and her nephew, D'Ante Ducasse, of St. Louis, MO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sons, Carl McMorris and Lorenzo 'Little Lo' Williams, Jr.
Bernice's final resting place will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
