Bernice Barnd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernice Barnd, age 93, of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Olinger, Virginia. Bernice was born on May 27, 1931, and she departed this life peacefully on April 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Bernice lived a life rich with love and devotion as a devoted homemaker, passionately caring for her family and creating a warm, nurturing environment. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, Jerry Hall, Debra Snedegar, and Susan Stuck. Overall, she was a cherished member of her family, whose legacy of love will resonate for generations to come.

An avid game enthusiast, Bernice found great joy in playing games, bowling, and shopping, where she created treasured memories with her loved ones. Her spirit and laughter would light up any room, and her unwavering support and kindness made her an anchor for her family.

Bernice is survived by her beloved daughters, Jerry Hall, Debra (Joe) Snedegar, and Susan Stuck; her grandchildren, Jessica Fredeman, Jennifer Feltis, Aaron Webb, JD Snedegar, Michael Hall, Julie Jones, Austin Snedegar, and Traci Nimz; 14 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, George "Bud" Barnd, her daughter, Gail Webb; her son, Jeff Barnd; and son-in-laws, Don Hall, Gregg Webb, and Dave Stuck; and parents, Carr and Addie Bailey.

A public viewing will take place on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the Church at Smith Valley from 1:30pm - 3:00pm, with the funeral service immediately following at 3:00pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.

As we reflect on Bernice's beautiful life, we find solace in the memories we shared and the love she embodied. Her legacy will continue to inspire us all, reminding us to celebrate life, cherish each other, and hold onto the moments that bring joy. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
