Bernard (Bernie) Curwick passed peacefully in his home with his family and friends present on Friday, 12/11/20. He lived with Kidney failure for many years.
Bernie was preceded in death by his grandparents/Calvin and Eva Bradley, mother/Edith Allen and brother/Nick Curwick. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janet Curwick, 3 stepsons, Jason/Anna Swingle, Ryan/Kristina Swingle & Michael/Emily Swingle, 7 grandchildren-Zachary, AJ, Dylan, Madison, Alexandria, Grayson and Carter as well as many sister/ brother, niece/nephews in-law.
Bernie was a wonderful husband and proud grandfather, stepfather, uncle and loyal friend. Always the guy that everyone talked to, strangers included. He worked in construction/concrete finishing for many years until he made the change to sales. With his friendly down home personality it was an easy transition. Often his customers invited him to stay and eat dinner as he almost felt like family to them at the end of the appointment.
He enjoyed traveling and was often willing to take off in the car and just drive. He loved animals and enjoyed a menagerie of them over the years. Life with Bernie was never boring. He will be dearly missed.
There is a plan to have a Celebration of Life ceremony January 17th at 2pm at Servants of Christ church, 7650 Oaklandon Road.
