Bennie Dean Leonard, 89, was born in Washington, Indiana to the late Howard W. Leonard and Eva M. (Gabriel) Leonard on July 7, 1933.
Bennie married the love of his life, Vivian Bell (Roe) Leonard, and to that union, two sons were born. He was an ordained minister. Early in life Bennie wanted to join the military to serve his country, but due to a diagnosis with Cerebral Palsy, he was unable to do join. He never let his illness get him down. Even with Cerebral Palsy he had very steady hands, which allowed him to enjoy his hobby of building countless model cars and making many special gifts for his lovely wife. Bennie also enjoyed spending time with his sons and making people laugh. His co-workers always mentioned how they loved laughing at his jokes.
Bennie left behind to cherish his memory, two sons, Jeffery and Randall; his grandson, Josh; two great grandchildren, and his great friend and brother-in-law, Bill and Janice Roe.
He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian.
