Beatrice “Jean” Lumpkins was born on August 5, 1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Simon Henry and Fanny Bell Wilcox. Jean was the youngest daughter of six siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.
At an early age Jean and her family relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana where she attended and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. Shortly after graduating she married and from that marriage had eight beautiful children.

Her favorite songs were, ‘Touch Me Lord Jesus’, ‘I Have A Friend Above All Others’, My Mother’s Eyes (for her children) and ‘How I Got Over’.
Jean was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1974. She remained a faithful servant of our Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and of our Lord Jesus Christ until her death. She loved to read the Bible and share the word to family, friends and people she encountered during field service.
