Barbara Price

Barbara J Price, 90, of Martinsville, Indiana, passed peacefully from this life at home Thursday, August 15th, 2024. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 3rd 1934, the oldest of four children of Charles Lee and Bessie Eletha Price (Sweeney).

She studied at Georgia Institute of Technology, also Patricia Stevens Modeling School.

She was the Fulton County Superior Court Clerk for 26 years in Atlanta, Ga. She was appointed to Lieutenant Colonel Aid De Camp Governors Staff in 1983 also Secretary to four attorneys at Lockheed Aircraft of Marietta, Ga.

She spent all her years in Atlanta, except the last 14 when she moved to Martinsville, In. to be closer to her brother, Doyle.

She had many interests and hobbies including, an avid book reader, she loved all types of books, some of her favorites were Elizabeth Taylor, history, anything about cats. She loved spending time with family and friends. She collected many things, cat figurines, books, news clippings. She truly loved cats; she had a heart for anything about cats.

She was extremely smart, and in her younger years loved to travel.

Preceded in death by her (father) Charles Lee, (mother) Bessie Eletha, (brother) Charles, (brother) Robert, (nephew) Doyle Jr.

She will be sadly missed and always remembered by (brother & wife) Doyle & Evelyn Price, (nieces) Dreama, Raina, Cindy & (husband) Scott, Crystal, Cathy, Brenda, (nephews) Scotty, Steven, Stuart, & also her (caregiver) Carol.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
