Barbara Jean (Coy) Newman, 83, went home to be with the Lord on December 18th in her home in Mooresville, Indiana in which she shared with her husband of 10 years, Paul Newman. She was born July 21st, 1939, in Beech Grove, Indiana to Isaac and Mildred Coy. She leaves 4 children who love her dearly, Harold Stovall (Dawn Ford), Doug Stovall (Nancy), Lisa Buchanan (Gary), and Linda Schooler (Mark Hommel). She was very proud of her 17 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren including 1 due in February and 1 great-great grandchild due in March. She also leaves behind her brother, Louis Coy; sister-in-law, Dorlas Coy; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Thomas Coy and Frantz Coy; her husband and father of her children, Kenneth Harold Stovall; and husband, Donald Eugene Stovall; and her great grandson, Liam Hank Redenbarger.
Barbara worked at Monarch Beverage and later helped her husband run the family business. But the most important thing to her was raising her kids with family values and faith in Christ. She loved to sew, research genealogy, line dance, and travel. But her favorite thing was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was always up for a game of marbles or euchre with her family. She leaves her family with a legacy of love and laughter. She will be missed.
