Barbara Helen Harlamert

Our hearts are breaking after the loss of Barbara H. (Brown) Harlamert, 56, of Boggstown, Indiana after being struck by a brutally aggressive cancer. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father Bob Brown and her baby brother Phillip. She is survived by her mother, Sue Brown, of West Newton; her sisters, Mari Wisniewski (Steve) and Becky Brown, of West Newton; her brothers Matt Brown (Cindy), of Indianapolis; Joe Brown (Pam), of Flora; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She leaves behind her husband, Dave Harlamert; a stepson, Benson Harlamert, of Boggstown; a stepdaughter Ashley Tanks (Lee) and grandchildren Ella and Harley Tanks, of Woonona, Australia; her daughter Cassie Thompson (Clint) and granddaughter Daphney Thompson of Belleville, Illinois. She was a dedicated respiratory therapist, and found grace through service to others, but she found the most fulfillment in her job as Mimi to her grandchildren. Her friends and family will best remember her humor, generosity, and creativity, as best seen in all the beautiful quilts that she loved to make. She will be placed to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana, on Monday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of her life at Valle Vista Golf Club at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with friends and family.
