Aziz, a loving father, grandfather, husband, and brother reposed in the Lord on 10/21/24 peacefully surrounded by family. He was born in a small village in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon called Raite to Toufic Freije and Afife Nabhan. The eldest of 6 siblings, he was a father figure for his family and worked hard from a very young age to support and care for them.
He immigrated to the United States in 1976 and settled near family in Indianapolis, IN. He joined St. George Orthodox Christian church and remained a parishioner for the remainder of his life.
He married Giselle Trad in Lebanon in 1989. They returned to the US and had their children Samantha, Vanessa, and Kevin. He is fondly remembered for the unconditional love, support, and encouragement he gave his children. The only job he enjoyed more than being a father was a grandfather. Elie and Lucas, his dearly beloved grandchildren, gave him immense joy and pride.
He is preceded in death by his father Toufiq, mother Afife, sister Yvette, and brother Tony. He is survived by his wife Giselle; children Samantha Freije (Samer), Vanessa Shaheen (Naseeb), and Kevin Freije (Joanna); grandchildren Elie and Lucas Freije; sisters Taj (Edmond) and Azize (Khalil) Freije; brother Sami Freije (Milia), and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
