Albert Anthony Alonzo Hall died Thursday, March 28th, 2024. He was born February 17th, 1937. His family was Myrtle Wilamina Lahmann Hall and Albert Russell Hall. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann Rabourn Hall; his son, Patrick Anthony Hall (Robin); his daughter, Amy Jo Duncan; and his eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Myrtle; and his son-in-law, Troy Duncan.
Albert graduated from Shortridge High School. Later, he went to Butler University where he ran cross country. He also attended Ball State University until he was drafted into the Army, where he served as a chef and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Albert and his parents were house flippers before it was popular. They bought, lived in, and remodeled houses to resell. They had a real estate company, Almir Reality. Then they founded the Barton House Nursing Home. Al worked as a industrial draftsman for several years after marrying Patricia in 1965. After drawing plans and teaching the trade people how to build the plans, he joined the Electrician's Union and worked as a journeyman electrician for several years.
Albert loved his family and friends. His special activity was bowling. He earned a couple 300 rings and was very proud of them. Albert also loved to travel, he took many bowling trips to the ABC, which is now the USBC. Albert was a jack of all trades, he was an electrician, plumber, wood worker, and all around talent. He used that talent to help maintain New Bethel Baptist Church, where he was also an active member. Earlier, he was active in the Zion Evangelical Church, he sang in the choir. Albert was also a loyal member of the Blue Lodge, Murat Shrine Temple, and Scottish Rite Cathedral. He loved the flying fez and owned a Cesna 120 airplane
There will be a visitation and funeral service on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The visitation is from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Acton Cemetery.
