Anna was born in Crothersville Indiana. Her mother was Thelma Roth (later Morris) and her husband, who we all simply knew as "Daddy Roth". She was raised in Retreat until they moved to Crothersville when she was a young child after her father passed. While she was in high school she met and married (later divorced) Jason C. Spicer and had three children.
In the early 1970s she received her GED and then completed nurses aide training. After that she worked at Scottsburg hospital as an aide. Then a short stay in Charleston South Carolina in 1978-1979 happened where she worked at Levi Strauss as a seamstress. Upon returning to Crothersville she worked at Excello Shirt and then U.S. Show.
She moved to Indianapolis in 1988, where she resumed nurses aide work at Automn Care nursing home and then later The Forum At The Crossing. There she moved into housekeeping and continued after her prior aide training no longer applied. She worked there until her retirement in 2002.
She loved reading, especially historical romance, remantic suspense and paranormal romance, cats, jewelery, country music, suspense movies and TV, and classic television, especially westerns. The picture is from last Christmas after she found that Grinch sweatshirt. She did not like being photographed!
She is survived by her three children, Beverly Guy, Clarence Spicer and Jeffrey Spicer. She had five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A family gathering to celebrate her life is planned for a later date.
