Anita Rochelle Winston was born to Sharon (Winston) Clark on March 27, 1974, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She transitioned to her eternal home on May 28, 2024. After completing her education at Eau Claire High School, Anita worked for much of her life as a CNA. Enjoying taking care of others in need for over 30 years. She was also a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Indianapolis, IN.
Anita, who was affectionately known as “Cookie”, enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, listening to music, and being the life of the party.
Anita is survived by her parents Robert and Sharon Clark of McCordsville, IN; son Robert Woods of McCordsville IN; one sister Angela Winston of McCordsville, IN; special brother Tony Terry of Indianapolis, IN; two step-sisters Silkey Clark of Kalamazoo, MI, and Dawn Medaries of Atlanta, GA; one step-brother Robert M Clark of Little Rock, AR; two nieces Tonisha Terry of Indianapolis, IN and TaiJue Terry of McCordsville, IN; one nephew De’Anthony Terry of Fishers, IN; two great nieces Tayia Terry of McCordsville IN, and Kennedy Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; one great nephew Ayden Terry of Fishers, IN; aunts Marquita (Shannon) Harris of South Carolina, Rita Razor of Benton Harbor, MI, Rachel (Butch) Wagner of Benton Harbor, MI, and Annie Cross of Saginaw, MI; aunt, Alice Goins; two uncles Louis (Rosemary) Reece of Benton Harbor, MI, and Thomas (Mary) Carter of Mansfield, TX, a bonus granddaughter Kennedy Williams, and a host of cousins.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Raymond and Mary Cobb; maternal great grandparents Wille and Augusta Carter, maternal great great grandmother Elsie Franklin, paternal grandmother Murtle Richmond, paternal great grandmother Minnie Barnett, Uncle Freddie (Ironside) and special cousins Pamela Hull and Willie Bernard Reese.
