Andrew Christopher Smith, Jr. was born to the late Andrew Smith, Sr. and Marilyn C. Smith on December 25, 1942. He was known as Andy, Jr. and A.C. He was the oldest of 4 children. He attended IPS schools and Crispus Attucks High School. AT 12 years old he joined the Beulah Baptist Church.
He was drafted into the Vietnam war in 1967 where he was a missile launcher stationed at Cameron Bay. After being discharged from the war he moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he attended Cuyahoga Community College. Upon his graduation he worked at Warner and Swasey and then Van Dorn.
In 2012 he moved back to Indianapolis, Indiana to be with his siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Marilyn Smith.
He is survived by his son Christopher Smith; brother, Michael Smith (Karen); sisters, Linda Smith Richardson (George) and Michelle Smith (James); all of which reside in Indianapolis, Indiana. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and a host of many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
