Alice Ventura VanBriggle

Alice V VanBriggle was born May 24 1925 to Austin and Nancy Simcox. She was the third of 6 children. Alice was married January 6 1947 to Charles F VanBriggle. Together they had 3 children. Don, who preceded her in death. Her husband Charles also preceded her in death. Deborah, married to Bill Engledow, and youngest son Alan who lives in Ontario Canada. Grandchildren are: Kellee Dye, Kristopher (Carly) Dye, Tim ( Mellissa) VanBriggle, David VanBriggle, Katie VanBriggle, and Alex VanBriggle.

 Alice was a loving and devoted wife and Mother. She always stressed the importance of not only staying clean physically, but also leading a morally clean life as stated in God’s Word the Bible. She loved having family and friends for a gathering and loved to cook. She also loved to have a garden. She would tell us young ones about how one day the whole world would be a paradise garden.

Alice’s life was a reflection of her deep love and loyalty she had for Jehovah. While she was in her 80’s, she spent her time in full time service, telling people about God’s Kingdom for about 3 years. She also had her dream come true when she was invited to attend the pioneer school and greatly enjoyed it.

The last year and a half she has resided in Whitestown in an assisted living apartment. While there, she made many friends. Always, she would look for opportunities to share her faith. She also loved keeping her mind sharp and always played scrabble on Friday morning. She was known as the “Scrabble Queen “ One year ago, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, which took a toll on her. Fighting to the end, she fell asleep in death on January 22nd 2025 at the age of 99 Services will be on February 8th 2025 at 4pm. 5667 Moller Rd. North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
