“Keep moving forward” It’s not just an inspirational quote. It was her credo, the words she lived by.
Alice Anne Tibbetts passed away on January 18th 2022 due to a series of unfortunate events resulting in an automobile collision on the off-ramp at I70 and Shadeland Avenue.
Alice was born September 1st 1974 to her mother Denise LaRosa and Father John Gregory Main. She is survived by her 4 children, her daughter Samantha, her 3 sons Dustin, Tyler, and Kaiden, her estranged husband Brandon Tibbetts, her sisters, Tina and Jaime, her brothers, Eric and Jake, her parents Denise LaRosa, John Gregory and Nancy Main, many aunts and uncles, and countless friends.
Alice, a highschool graduate, further pursued a career in beautification, whereby she completed training and obtained a license in cosmetology. As such, she spent many a night honing her skills on her unsuspecting and exceedingly patient children. Creating and adapting several hairstyles to reflect the high energy flair she so confidently expressed in every aspect of her life.
Alice enjoyed creating. If it wasn’t hair or make-up, it was a tree or scorpion, or necklace, or pendant. Painstakingly crafted by hand from wire and stone. Alice would turn a simple roll of copper wire and a couple gemstones an intricate masterpiece before your very eyes. From tigers eye, to labradorite, to agates, she knew all the stones of the earth and found a kinship in them. She was a woman of the earth. She loved nature and all it had to offer.
She loved her family, which included several animals over the years. From her current 3 dogs and 4 cats to the ferrets and countless strays she picked up along the way. Alice never met an unlovable creature. She was loyal to a fault and kind beyond measure. That which she had, she gave willingly and without expectation, and she never ever gave up. No matter the obstical, no matter how great the challenge, she faced everything head-on, fearless and indestructible. She did all of this with a smile on her face, a fire in her eyes, and a joke at the ready.
The phoenix is a mythical bird that dies in a blaze of fire and is reborn in the ashes. Alice talked about the phoenix often. Like that mythical bird she would catch ablaze and rise again and again, over and over. Never stopping. ALWAYS MOVING FORWARD
