Adrienne A. Napier

Adrienne A. Napier (Sawyers), 86, of Carmel passed away peacefully at McGivney Health Care Center on April 15, 2024 after a battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. She was born September 5, 1937 in Isban, WV to James and Ellen (Johnson) Gormer. 

Adrienne came to Indiana at the young age of 14. She met the love of her life, Red Sawyers, and together they had 3 children, Ernest, Vivian and Shawn Sawyers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Ellen Gormer; siblings, Amanda Gormer Boroski, David Cline, Ida Gormer Sawyers, and Paul Gormer and grandchild, Natasha Creel. 

Adrienne is survived by her 3 children; one sister, Charlotte (Roger) Schumacher of Indianapolis, IN; nephew, Nathaniel Creel; grandchildren, Jessica Lanie, Christopher Broderick, Nicole Bailey, Joshua Sawyers, and Rachel Sawyers; and numerous great grandchildren, friends from all around, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
